With a plethora of fine beaches (365 no less), Antigua is a place to take it easy. However, more intrepid travellers can climb to the top of Boggy Peak or take a day trip to Barbuda, located just 30 miles to the North or a helicopter trip to the volcanoe at Monserrat.

However Antigua might be most famous for the stunning ‘English Harbour’ where you can also explore Horatio Nelson’s fully restored dockyard where he lived from 1784 to 1787. Sailing is still a very popular activitiy in Antigua today for both locals and international guests culminating in Antigua Sailing week (please enquire for latest dates). Beautiful views abound from Shirley Heights which overlook this area and every Sunday afternoon you can join in the party with local music and delicious food, but beware of the special sweet rum!

For something a little different, Sting Ray City where you can snorkel with the rays as well as coral reefs and tropical fish.
